Compensation: Hourly; Commensurate to Skills and Experience

Hours: Full-time: Monday -Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm


Two weeks paid vacation.

Position Description:

The primary role of the Biogas Marketing & Offtake (M&O) Associate is to identify and solicit customers interested in purchasing/receiving the company’s carbon-negative Renewable Natural Gas (RNG). These customers will initially include compressed natural gas fueling stations and truck fleets in California, and the companies that provide them with fuel. However, the market is rapidly expanding to other states including Washington, Oregon, British Columbia, New Mexico, and New York—and now includes universities, utilities, municipalities, and corporations interested in procuring RNG. This task will include assisting in developing a business plan and assessing new market opportunities, caring for a network of energy brokers, utilities, gas transportation companies and potential off takers, and lead negotiations of biogas offtake agreements in collaboration with other MEW departments. The M&O Associate will also manage contractual relations with biogas offtakes and provide broad company knowledge on the markets for carbon credits and renewable natural gas.


  • Originate and secure offtake contracts for RNG fuel

  • Lead biogas offtake agreement negotiations

  • Represent the company in industry conferences/forums and potential client meetings 

  • Care for a network of energy brokers, utilities, gas transportation companies and potential off takers

  • Prepare reports and present results to clients or management
