Hours: Full-time: Monday -Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm

Position Description:
MEW is looking for a PLC Programmer to join our automation team to provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to our operations, build upon existing infrastructure and contribute to a proficient and effective control system for PLC, HMI, SCADA and other automation systems. The ideal candidate is reliable in delivering mission-critical support with an eye toward improvement, optimization, and security.
Responsibilities:
Day to day troubleshooting of PLC/HMI/SCADA programming.
Work on controls, sensors, variable frequency drives, and flow meters.
Change and set parameters on meters and automation devices and update device/program software as needed.
Assist in maintaining backups of programs and changes.
Assist in maintaining documentation of new sites and changes to existing sites.
Utilize project tracking software to ensure tasks are completed.
Commission new sites and provide technical support to field technician to ensure automation equipment is set up and working properly
Coordinate work with other members of the systems team.
Research and develop understanding of programming, installation and troubleshooting of field devices and possible enhancements.
Assist preparing cost estimates.
Assist in project tracking and documentation.
Potential travel time.
Qualifications & Skills:
Knowledge of technical controls and troubleshooting skills.
Automation Skills preferred.
Use and understand Ladder logic.
Understand and diagnose, using a multimeter, basic current, voltage and resistance concepts.
Able to prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous projects.
Demonstration of a professional attitude and courtesy towards others.
Ability to work independently and problem solve.
Understanding of computer networks and/or information technology.
Understanding of control system networks, e.g. Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Modbus TCP, etc.
Ability to read elementary process and instrumentation diagrams.
PLC control system design experience a plus.
Extensive electrical knowledge is a plus.
B.S. Engineering Degree or Automation certificate is a plus.
Must be proficient in English
